One evening it just clicked. In 2022, while visiting friends in Chattanooga, TN, we spent an evening covered head to toe in plastic sheeting throwing paint at a canvas and the idea for my splash art series was born. I was able to combined my love of music – blues and rock 'n roll – with a long lost passion for abstract painting with bright colors. Click the button below to view my art work.

Music
Theo Dasbach, nicknamed “Boogieman,” taught himself to play boogie woogie and blues (vocals/keyboard) in the Netherlands.
After his move to Memphis, he started to perform in 2007 in the Bluesberry Cafe, at the Juke Joint Fest & 2nd Street Blues parties in Clarksdale, MS. Theo started writing his own songs and recorded his first CD, “Dutch Delta Blues,” in 2010, followed by “Blue Boogie” in 2013 and “Got the Blues So Bad” in 2015. His fourth CD, “Ain’t Done Yet,” recorded with Brad Webb in his studio in Memphis, was released in 2024.
Theo resides in Memphis and is indeed not “done yet”. Alongside his passion for painting today, he loves to perform when possible.
